With the AEOTEC Nano Switch you integrate different switchable, non-dimmable eletro installations (e.g. ceiling lamps, sockets...) into the Z-Wave network. This makes it possible to switch the connected consumer both wirelessly via Z-Wave and locally using the existing wall switch. In addition, the AEOEZW132 has an energy measurement function that can be used to determine the exact energy consumption of the connected consumer.
The compact radio module (60% smaller than the predecessor Micro Smart Switch) is placed in a wall socket directly behind the conventional switch already located there and transforms standard electrical installations into intelligent Z-Wave-based radio systems. The existing switch no longer switches the consumer directly, but only supplies a control signal to the AEOTEC module, which in turn controls the consumer. This control takes place either via the local switch or via radio.
The AEOTEC module works with every switch series and every design, as long as there is enough space for installation in the wall box. In large 65mm deep boxes this should regularly be the case. In smaller boxes (e.g. 45mm), the possibility of use depends on the required depth of the conventional switch as well as the space requirement of the electrical connectors that may also be located in the box.
