The FIBARO Smoke Sensor is a universal optical Z-Wave smoke detector. The fire alarm is signaled by flashing the audible visual indicator and sending Z-Wave alarm and control commands. The optical sensor detects smoke at an early stage of the fire, often before flames develop and the temperature rises significantly.
In addition, the device has a built-in temperature sensor that is programmable and indicates when the set temperature level is exceeded. The FIBARO Smoken Sensor is designed to be mounted on a wall or ceiling. The visual indicator signals the operating mode and is used to determine if the device is on the Z-Wave network. The Smoke Sensor is designed to operate indoors under normal conditions (without smoke dust and condensed water vapor).
