Flood Sensor

The device has a built-in temperature sensor that can monitor the temperature of the floor, for example. The Flood Sensor is designed to be placed directly on the floor or on a wall with a sensor probe extended by a connected cable. The unit has a built-in visual LED indicator and audible alarm. The LED diode additionally signals the operating mode of the sensor or the communication range of the Z-Wave network.

Furthermore, the sensor is equipped with a tilt sensor that reports a tilt or movement of the device to the controller, e.g. if someone has moved the sensor from its original location. The FIBARO Flood Sensor is waterproof, which means that it will drift on the surface of the water and will continue to send an alarm signal in case of heavy water flooding.

• Compatible with any Z-Wave or Z-Wave+ network controller (firmware 3.2 or later),
• Supports protected mode (Z-Wave network security mode) with AES-128 encryption (firmware 3.2 or later),
• Can be connected to any alarm system (floating output terminal),
• Extremely easy installation - simply place on a water hazard area,
• Can be installed anywhere - simply extend the flood sensor contacts with a special cable,
• Battery powered or continuous VDC power supply. When connected to an external 12/24V DC power source, the battery also serves as an emergency power source,
• Theft protection - tilt is reported to the Z-Wave network controller or an external alarm system,
• Two operating modes - water/temperature sensor or temperature sensor only,
• The alarm is signaled by an audible and visual indicator (LED diode) and a message to the Z-Wave network to which the device is connected.
