The Aeon Labs Z-Wave current clamp allows you to inexpensively determine the total power consumption of a residential unit. It determines the current electrical power in watts and counts the accumulated electrical work in kWh on two phases that are measured individually. For this purpose, folding transformers are installed in the control cabinet on the individual supply wires.
The folding transducers measure the electric current from the power supply by means of a configurable voltage value and, assuming cos (phi) = 1, the power and work data. These can be queried via Z-Wave or automatically transmitted by radio at configurable intervals.
The device is fixed to the substrate with a bracket. It is connected and operated with the AC cable to a socket or the 230V terminal strip. The device has a terminal and reports W and kWH (up to max. 60 amps).
